Day 30: the experiment was a success

Last month, more or less on a whim, I decided I would try to rejuvenate my blog. I would post something every day for 30 days. The hope was to reestablish a habit of writing, of putting thoughts together end to end into a coherent package. The reason is: I like doing that, I get satisfaction out of it, and it seems like a valuable kind of mental exercise.

And so we have arrived at Day 30 (I did miss one day during that time, due to a nasty sinus infection). I think the experiment was a success. I've enjoyed it, and I think it's had the positive effect that I'd hoped for.

So the blog is once again alive and kicking. During these 30 days, I made only token attempts to draw readers (mostly by posting the post to Facebook). I'm going to try a little harder to promote A Stranger Here as we go along (though I'm not certain how to do that).

As for content, I've posted several times about politics, several times about the New Testament gospel, I've featured a couple of songs, and done a couple of link-list type posts. That's about what to expect from this corner in the future as well.

Of course, I have no illusions about becoming a much-read blogger or something. But I'll continue to post on matters of faith, culture, politics, books and reading, and music. From here on out, I'm going to take Sundays off, but shoot for consistency on the other 6 days. If you're reading this, I'm glad you're here. I think there might be 2 or 3 of you out there, maybe a few more. Feel free to comment, to share on your favored social media, and to subscribe to my feed if you do Feedly or any of the other
