I like this from Geoff Holsclaw: How 3 Conspiracy Theory Vices Come from Evangelical Virtues. It's very good. It's not the simple answer to the question, why have Evangelicals proven so susceptible to crackpot conspiracy theories? The simple answer is, well they believe a lot of crazy stuff already. Maybe they're just inherently gullible. But Holsclaw has a more complicated take. Holsclaw, by the way, is always worth checking.
